Welcome back to Mess Boards, where I scour the internet for some of the hottest takes about this week's opponent.

Well folks, here we are. I hope you all have protective eyewear on. This isn't going to be pretty.

UPS!

Right off the bat, I love the optimism. As for low scoring, well, Penn State is the second highest-scoring offense in the country. But look, can you blame him for positive thinking? The Panthers are coming off an explosive 20-point performance against Ohio. If that doesn't give you confidence Pitt can hang with Penn State, I don't know what will.

Amish

I'll be honest, this kicks ass. You would be the envy of all the other tailgates if you had to run to your buggy to grab another cold one. This also would be faster and much more pleasant than taking the train to Heinz Field.

Conflicting reports

I love the First Half Points™ statistic. It's a good thing Penn State is only outscoring opponents in the second half *furiously flips through notes* 73 to 10.

Tennessee Weighs In

A new challenger has entered the fray! I'll be honest, I have no idea if this guy is a West Virginia fan or Tennessee fan, but he lives in Volunteer country so let's go with that. James Franklin went 2-1 against Tennessee while at Vandy, including a 41-18 beatdown in 2012. I'd say thats the most embarrassing loss in program history, but...

Wordsmith

I love poetry! This post inspired so much that I decided to write a Pitt-themed ballad myself.

Coastal Champs, historic season!

Wins and losses still stayed even.

Media muzzle, Duz needs new tricks.

The score last time? It was fifty-one to six!
