Penn State battled the Pitt Panthers for the 100th time, and held on for a 17-10 victory. Many Penn State fans were looking for a blowout to end the series and send Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi and his team on their merry way. It was much closer than anticipated and you know that usually translates to a colorful day of reading James Franklin's Twitter mentions.

Whatever it takes to get a win.

The new traffic pattern has the fans livid.

We are underway of this in-state rivalry.

Penn State fans are frustrated, but Vanderbilt fans still have a soft spot in their hearts for James Franklin.

Joe is not too thrilled with the start of the game.

See, that's where I come in and do it for him.

Tom is back this week and he's still mad while possibly laying 17 points.

Lot's of good info for coach to use.

I am 50/50 on deciding if this is a typo or not.

Plenty of good vibes on Twitter on Saturday, but hey, at least he didn't kick a field goal from the one down seven.

Almost made it the whole day without an under center reference.

And we always have Sue and her positive outlook on the situation.

And just like that, it's over. Penn State is 3-0, and had this been a Pitt blog, it would have been three hours of sifting through "why didn't you go for it?" tweets. Thankfully, I haven't had to do that since January. Enjoy the bye week. I believe I will.
