Homecoming started out with a bang as Penn State darted out to a quick lead. After fifteen minutes, Penn State lost all momentum on offense but held on to a 28-point win thanks to the defense. It looked like a Maryland redux, but then came to a screeching halt. With that being said, let's take a look at James Franklin's Twitter mentions to get a pulse on the real-time fans.

Even though it was a noon game, James Franklin took advantage of the time to head out and recruit on Friday night.

If it's not traffic on Atherton, traffic outside of the stadium was an issue and why not send a tweet to the guy with no control over any of it.

Chilly morning, but the sun shined all over the head of the head football coach.

It was never in doubt, but with a night road game at Iowa, there is plenty to work on this week.

If you watched the game, this was when Jake Pinegar missed a field goal.

Noah Cain has stood out and the fan(s) want him to be the primary back.

Well, this is more like what I'm used to seeing.

This has escalated quickly.

Penn State heads to Iowa next week and the fans will certainly be back to voice their opinions on Twitter. Expect nothing less than some angry tweets when the Nittany Lions take on a Hawkeye team looking for revenge.
