The Nittany Lions are sticking with a winning formula for this week's depth chart.

Pos. First Team Second Team Third Team
QB Sean Clifford Will Levis Ta'Quon Roberson OR Michael Johnson Jr.
RB Journey Brown OR Ricky Slade OR Noah Cain OR Devyn Ford - -
WR-X Justin Shorter OR Daniel George Cam Sullivan-Brown -
WR-H Jahan Dotson Dan Chisena Isaac Lutz
WR-Z KJ Hamler Mac Hippenhammer Weston Carr
TE/H Pat Freiermuth Nick Bowers Zack Kuntz, Brenton Strange
LT Rasheed Walker Des Holmes Bryce Effner
LG Steven Gonzalez  Mike Miranda Bryce Effner
C Michal Menet Mike Miranda Hunter Kelly
RG Mike Miranda OR CJ Thorpe - Anthony Whigan
RT Will Fries Des Holmes Caedan Wallace

  • Daniel George is now listed as a co-starter with Justin Shorter at the X-receiver. We haven't seen Shorter since he left the Maryland game with an upper-body injury.
  • Isaac Lutz joins the fray as the third-team H-receiver. He beats out Weston Carr, who holds onto his third-team as the Z.
  • Noah Cain remains the third running back listed. It has started to look like he's separating himself a bit, so we'll see how the rotation changes going forward.

Pos. First Team Second Team Reserves
DE Shaka Toney   Jayson Oweh Adisa Isaac
1-DT Antonio Shelton PJ Mustipher Judge Culpepper
3-DT Robert Windsor Fred Hansard Damion Barber
DE Yetur Gross-Matos Shane Simmons Daniel Joseph
SLB Cam Brown Brandon Smith OR Charlie Katshir -
MLB Jan Johnson Ellis Brooks Jesse Luketa
WLB Micah Parsons Jesse Luketa Lance Dixon
CB John Reid Trent Gordon Joey Porter Jr.
S Lamont Wade Jaquan Brisker Drew Hartlaub
S Garrett Taylor Jonathan Sutherland CJ Holmes
CB Tariq Castro-Fields Keaton Ellis Donovan Johnson

  • No changes here. After another dominant performance, that's probably a good move.
  • Tariq Castro-Fields is listed as a starter, despite playing just five snaps against Purdue. He originally got banged up at Maryland, so we'll have to wait and see what his status is Saturday.
