The Nittany Lions have opened as 15.5-point favorites over the Indiana Hoosiers.
Indiana is quietly having a fantastic season, sitting at 7-2 with their only losses to undefeated Ohio State and on the road to Michigan State. They were ranked in both the Coaches and AP Poll on Sunday afternoon and are expected to find themselves in the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday night.
The Hoosiers are coming off a bye week, making them the third straight opponent the Nittany Lions will face coming off a bye. They will be without starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. who is out for the year with an upper-body injury. Peyton Ramsey, who started against the Nittany Lions last year, will get the start.
Three of the last five matchups have been decided by 14 points or fewer, with the Nittany Lions winning 33-28 last season. Penn State has lost to the Hoosiers just once in the history of this matchup when they fell 44-24 in Bloomington back in 2013.
The Nittany Lions will take on the Hoosiers in Beaver Stadium at noon eastern on Saturday. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
