Ohio State looked like they were about to boat race Penn State when they took a 21-0 advantage, but the Nittany Lions clawed back. It was too much to overcome as they lost 28-17 and Penn State fell to 9-2 on the season.
After a week where quarterback Sean Clifford said he received threats on social media following the Minnesota game, we're heading in a different direction. Each week I look at James Franklin's Twitter mentions and usually it's a mess of people saying to firing him or everyone around him. Saturday was no different, but I am not going to focus on those people this week. Today, I'm going to shine a light on the more positive tweets and though this may be shorter, I will be better for it.
Away we go.

OK, just two more of these I have to get through after this week.
Love coach @coachjfranklin https://t.co/G0F2OVvD9u

Look at all this love.
Penn State has played five ranked teams in six weeks - the hardest stretch in Modern college football history. One strange offensive pass interference call away from winning all those games. We all need to give @coachjfranklin props - regardless of what happens today.

It's been a grinder of a schedule and no game is harder than the one vs. Ohio State.
Its ok @PennStateFball One play at a time. We Are With You %. Keep your heads up. Lets Start Now . Only Love , Respect and Support 4-Ever. #BeatOhioState #WeAre @coachjfranklin #WeAreForeverAFamily.

Penn State down 14-0 at the half and there were plenty of tweets questioning punting inside Ohio State territory and the offensive play calling, but Sue was just there to offer support.
(1/2) Predictably, James Franklin will take a good bit of heat for this from the fanatical PSU fans. So let me emphatically speak for a majority of us alums that want @coachjfranklin as our head coach and appreciate all he has done for the program.

More positive tweets as Penn State pulled closer in the game.
Down 21-0, Penn state really impressed us with their ability to bounce back and @coachjfranklin has a resilient group. Let's see how the Buckeyes respond here with the best offense in College Football Today.

After Penn State cut it to four, Ohio State responded with a big touchdown.
I love Our @PennStateFball @coachjfranklin All Coaches , Staff , Players and Families. One play at a time. Heads Up. Keep Fighting. I Believe!!! Defense Defense Defense #BeatOhioState #WeAre #WeAreForeverAFamily. Respect & Love Only 4Ever !!

Sue is just a sweet person it seems.
I remember when @coachjfranklin came to CWS to support @TimCorbin It shows the relationship they formed when he was at Vandy and probably the reason is the standards they set for their programs. @VandyAD better get on it before we lose Corbin too. https://t.co/HlJntar1Uy

Vanderbilt baseball head coach Tim Corbin joined his good friend James Franklin on the team bus before the game.
Im proud of our @PennStateFball You fought hard and we are proud of you. Keep your heads up. Im with you % 4Ever. Love you @coachjfranklin All Coaches, Staff , Players & Their Families. Please pray for @seancliff14 who was hurt in the game. Remember #WeAreForeverAFamily.

Sue, thank you for making this journey through the mentions bearable.
@coachjfranklin super proud of you and the boys today. Way to fight.

@coachjfranklin great effort, proud of our team
— Bill Bressler (@kk5ye) November 23, 2019
Most teams playing the best team in the country would roll over down 21 and doing nothing on offense all game. This team led by @coachjfranklin showed their grit and heart today. OSU is a great team. #WeAre #NothingToBeAshamedOf
— KJB (@kjbusher) November 23, 2019
That was a heavyweight fight. Hell of a battle. Proud of my boys @PennStateFball . After the 6 game stretch theyve had - they brought it on the road against what is by my eyes probably the best team in the country. Keep building @coachjfranklin . We can beat anyone #WeAre

The team showed some fight, but in the end, they couldn't quite get over the hump. With Senior Day coming this Saturday against Rutgers, a 10-win season seems likely and then we will have to wait and see what bowl game comes calling. We'll be back next week for some more Twitter mentions.
