With the news that the Big Ten is set to return in late October, the conference's representatives are once again eligible to be ranked in the Coaches Poll. Though the Big Ten teams won't be ranked as they should until they actually start playing, Penn State came in at No. 13 in the most recent edition. Ohio State appeared just above the Lions at No. 10.
Big Ten teams will be eligible for the AP Poll for next week's release on September 27.
It's hard to say what this poll will end up looking like by the time October 24 rolls around considering the Big 12, SEC, and ACC will all have played several games by that point. Though coaches didn't seem to have any issues giving SEC teams who have yet to play a game their normal treatment in the rankings as Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, and Auburn all appear inside the top-ten.
The Lions and Buckeyes are joined in the top-25 by conference foes Wisconsin (No. 17), Michigan (No. 19), and Minnesota (No. 22). Iowa, Nebraska, Mississippi, and Mississippi State also received votes (big thanks to the white house for reminding us that Mississippi is a Big Ten state).
The full poll can be seen here and below.
