Though college football's starting date is still up in the air given the spread of the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe, Vegas is still preparing for the season. On Monday, Caesars Entertainment released its SEC, Big Ten, and Mountain West win totals for the upcoming season. They have Penn State's over/under set at 9.5 wins.

The Lions are tied with Wisconsin for the second-highest win total in the conference after Ohio State (11). Michigan and Minnesota follow just behind at 9 wins. The next closest is Indiana at 7.5 wins. The over is also a heavy favorite with -200 odds, while the under comes in at +175.

The Lions have surpassed their preseason win total in two of the past three seasons, falling just short of the 9.5 mark in 2018 when they won nine games.

Based on what happens with the college football season, these numbers are sure to change over the next few months while things get figured out. Perhaps more than most teams, the preseason ramp-up will be vital for Penn State in 2020 as the team adjusts to new offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca.
