Penn State continues its trend of landing some of the top specialists in the country, securing a commitment from 2021 kicker Sander Sahaydak. The news of his commitment came via his Twitter account.

The top kicker in the country and a five-star prospect according to Kohl's Kicking, Sahaydak has a huge leg and is remarkably accurate for a high school kicker. He went 21/22 on extra points, 10/12 on field goals, and had a touchback rate of 84% last season.
The Sahaydak File
- Class: 2021
- Size: 6'2/160 lbs
- Pos: K
- School: Liberty (Bethlehem, PA)
- Composite Rating: N/A (Five-star per Kohl's Kicking)
- Composite Rank: N/A (No. 1 K, per Kohl's Kicking)
A rare left-footer, Sahaydak also held scholarship offers from Rutgers and Army, but he's visited a handful of other FBS programs. Kicker is a bit different than other positions, in that some programs don't like to have multiple specialists on scholarship.
The Nittany Lions will now have three scholarship specialists in 2021, joining Jake Pinegar and Jordan Stout. Sahaydak should redshirt while the other two kickers play out their senior seasons.
Sahaydak is the third Kohl's Kicking top-ten specialist to commit to Penn State under James Franklin, as the outlet had Jake Pinegar as their No. 9 kicker in 2018 and Blake Gillikin as the No. 4 punter in 2016.
Sahaydak is commitment No. 9 for Penn State's 2021 class, which ranks 17th nationally and eighth in the Big Ten.
