If you ask any Penn State fan to list their favorite games from the past few years, the 2017 Iowa game is sure to come up. From a dominant Saquon Barkley performance to a last-second, walk-off win, this game had it all.

So with all of our former Nittany Lions stuck in quarantine as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Big Ten Network got a group of them together to rewatch this magical game. The group includes stars from the game itself, quarterback Trace McSorley, cornerback Grant Haley, wide receiver Saeed Blacknall, and tight end Mike Gesicki, as well as wide receiver Chris Godwin and linebacker Brandon Bell whose final seasons were in 2016.

The video is fantastic and it's great to hear about what these guys were thinking during this game, so we highly recommend watching the whole video. But some highlights to specifically watch out for include...

  • The guys fawning over Saquon Barkley's superhuman abilities
  • Gesicki admitting that he was exhausted for the final drive and pointing out all the places where he gave little-to-no-effort
  • Everyone laughing when they remember McSorley's punt after the final snap
  • The guys giving props to former wide receivers coach Josh Gattis for calling the game-winning play
