Watch List Season is in full swing and Micah Parsons continues to find himself among on the most celebrated players heading into the 2020 season. On Monday, the Nittany Lion linebacker was named to the Butkus Award Watch List. The honor comes a week after he was named to the Bednarik Award Watch List. Last season, Parsons was named as one of six finalists for the Butkus award, given annually to the nation's top linebacker.

With so many unknowns heading into the season, the anticipation surrounding Parsons hangs in the balance. He's been projected as a first round draft pick and his last game against Memphis in the Cotton Bowl was one for the ages. Parsons finished the game with 14 tackles and two sacks and was named the Defensive MVP of the game. Here's a look at his Big Ten Linebacker of the Year highlights.

Parsons seeks to join legendary Nittany Lions Paul Posluszny (2005) and LaVar Arrinngton (1999) in winning the Butkus award, considered one of the most prestigious in college football. Clemson's Isaiah Simmons took home the award last season. The entire list can be found here.
