The Nittany Lions have landed a commitment from 2021 specialist Gabe Nwosu. A five-star prospect at both kicker and punter by Kohl's Kicking, the 6'6/220 prospect is expected to be a preferred walk-on.

Nwosu plays at the Bullis School in Maryland, where he's teammates with fellow Penn State 2021 commit Christian Veilliuex. He'll join Bethlehem native Sander Sahaydak as specialists brought in as part of this class.

Kohl's Kicking had the following to say Nwosu:

"Nwosu had a huge showing in July of 2020 at Kohl's National Scholarship Camp. He is technically clean with his swing and he works up and through contact well. He had some very impressive punts at camp with 5.2-5.3 hang times and continues to show that he can use his long levers well. He hit multiple 50+ yard punts during the charting portion of camp. His huge frame allowed him to hit some very impressive kickoffs and field goals. Nwosu's talent is very impressive and his coordination is catching up with his body! He literally has NFL potential as a K/P."

With Jake Pinegar and Jordan Stout both having multiple years of eligibility remaining and with Sahaydak on board as a scholarship option, Nwosu is heading for a redshirt when he gets to campus. With a history of hitting booming kicks, he could be James Franklin's kickoff specialist of the future.
