The Nittany Lions have opened as 7-point favorites over the Indiana Hoosiers in their season opener, per BetOnline.

Penn State defeated Indiana by seven points in Beaver Stadium last year and won by just five points during their last trip to Bloomington in 2018. Penn State routed the Hoosiers in 2017, but James Franklin's team won 45-31 back in 2016 with a last-minute Torrence Brown fumble recovery touchdown making that game seem a lot less close than it really was.

The Hoosiers have always been a tough time to gain separation from under Tom Allen. In 2019, they went 8-5 with three of their losses coming by fewer than 10 points.
