Penn State continues to improve its outlook for the 2021 season with potential impact transfers on defense.

On Thursday, former Temple defensive end Arnold Ebiketie announced his plans to attend Penn State.

With questions abound at the position, the Nittany Lions had been targeting Ebiketie since he entered the portal. Now, it appears he will join the competition looking to start across from Adissa Isaac. Ebiketie was a force for the Owls in 2020, finishing third on the team in tackles with 42 after six games. He was also the Owls leading pass rusher finishing the season with 4 sacks and the leader in tackles-for-loss with 8.5.

Look for James Franklin and the Nittany Lions to remain active in the portal throughout the offseason. Penn State could still be looking to add at defensive end. Former Illinois DE Owen Carney recently entered the portal and there appears to be mutual interest between him and Penn State. Carney was second team all-Big Ten during the 2020 season so that would be another nice pickup for Penn State if it came to fruition.
