The Big Ten has updated the 2021 football schedule with just a few changes coming for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions will still face the same opponents, but the order in which they will be played has shifted.

Penn State's 2021 football schedule will now be:

  • Week 1: @ Wisconsin
  • Week 2: vs. Ball State
  • Week 3: vs. Auburn
  • Week 4: vs. Villanova
  • Week 5: vs. Indiana
  • Week 6: @ Iowa
  • Week 7: BYE
  • Week 8: vs. Illinois
  • Week 9: @ Ohio State
  • Week 10: @ Maryland
  • Week 11: vs. Michigan
  • Week 12: vs. Rutgers
  • Week 13: @ Michigan State

The biggest change here is moving the Ohio State game from late November to Halloween weekend, making it the second year in a row the teams will meet at the end of October. That change also means the original back-to-back Ohio State-Michigan games in November are no more. It also moves Senior Day up a week, to their penultimate game of the 2021 regular season against the Scarlet Knights, and adjusts the bye week from October 2 to October 16.
