After originally announcing he was ending his football career to pursue an opportunity in the business field, Shane Simmons' playing days aren't over after all.
The former Penn State defensive end, who played five seasons for the Nittany Lions, tweeted on Monday that he was entering the transfer portal and will continue playing football.

Simmons was one of James Franklin's first major recruiting wins in 2014, committing to the Nittany Lions just a few months after Franklin took over the job.
The DeMatha product and Maryland native battled injury troubles throughout his time with Penn State, appearing in 44 games with two starts. He recorded 59 tackles, with four sacks and 10.5 tackles-for-loss.
He graduated last spring with a degree in communication arts and sciences.
A former four-star recruit with Big Ten experience, Simmons shouldn't have much trouble generating some interest in the portal.
