Penn State has landed another transfer defensive back with former Florida State cornerback A.J. Lytton announcing he will join the Nittany Lions later this month. He will join the program next week for the start of classes in the second summer session. 247Sports' Brian Dohn was the first to report the news on Tuesday evening.

The No. 50 overall prospect and seventh-ranked cornerback in the 2018 class, he played in 22 games in his two seasons in Tallahassee. He was off the Florida State roster in early 2020 and spent last fall at a community college. While with the Seminoles, Lytton recorded 28 tackles in 22 games, starting one, in two seasons.

Lytton will arrive on campus this weekend along with the remaining members of Penn State's 2021 recruiting class. He has two eligibility remaining.

Penn State's cornerback room is already looked at as one of the team's biggest strengths and Lytton bolsters that unit even more. With Tariq Castro-Fields and Joey Porter Jr. the likkely starters starters, Lytton will compete with South Carolina transfer Johnny Dixon, redshirt sophomore Daequan Hardy, and true freshman Kalen King for the third corner spot.
