Penn State has announced that the Nittany Lion's September 18 matchup with the Auburn Tigers will be this year's White Out. The game is set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.

The White Out has been reserved for Ohio State or Michigan in recent years, so it's nice to see Penn State mix things up a bit and go with the Tigers. Auburn will be the first SEC team to visit Happy Valley since Alabama in 2011, which also marks the last time the annual White Out took place against a team other than the Buckeyes or Wolverines.

The full-stadium White Out began in 2007 when Penn State beat Notre Dame 31-10. There was no White Out last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Nittany Lions took down the Michigan Wolverines 28-21 in the last White Out game in 2019.

Penn State also announced other game themes, which include the return of the Stripe Out on October 2 vs. Indiana, Homecoming and Generations of Greatness on October 23 vs. Illinois, and a student White Out when Michigan visits on November 13.
