After starting with 80/1 odds back in January to win the 2022 National Championship, Penn State is now listed as a 40/1 favorite to take home the title at the end of this season according to BetOnline. Those numbers make the Nittany Lions the eighth choice behind some of the sports' biggest names.

The Nittany Lions moved to 2-0 on Saturday with an easy win over Ball State, and will now welcome No. 22 Auburn to town for a top-25 showdown under the lights for the Whiteout.

Despite losing to Oregon, Ohio State still edges out Penn State in these odds at 10/1. Should the Lions take down Auburn this week, however, that gap could get even closer. Also appearing on this list (capped at 66/1) are Iowa and Michigan, the other two Big Ten programs to start out hot. The aforementioned Tigers also appear here at 66/1 odds, which will either take a massive hit or receive a massive boost depending on the outcome of Saturday's game.
