Gillikin's 17 punts in the month went for a net average of 45.5 yards — a figure that ranked second in the NFL during that time span. His 10 punts inside the 20-yard line in October were tied for third-most in the league.
Gillikin holds the second-highest career punting average at Penn State and was named a first-team Academic All-American twice in his four seasons in Happy Valley before signing with the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
