New Orleans Saints and former Penn State punter Blake Gillikin was named the NFC's Special Teams Player of the Month for his performance in October.

Gillikin's 17 punts in the month went for a net average of 45.5 yards — a figure that ranked second in the NFL during that time span. His 10 punts inside the 20-yard line in October were tied for third-most in the league.

Gillikin holds the second-highest career punting average at Penn State and was named a first-team Academic All-American twice in his four seasons in Happy Valley before signing with the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
