Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker has officially opted out of the Nittany Lions' Outback Bowl clash with Arkansas to prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Arriving in Happy Valley in 2019 after two seasons at Lackawanna College, Brisker burst onto the scene in 2020 before using his extra year of eligibility and earning All-Big Ten first-team honors from both the coaches and the media in 2021. Ji'Ayir Brown has already announced he will return in 2022. He will team up with Jonathan Sutherland, Keaton Ellis, and Jaylen Reed vs. Arkansas, and into the 2022 campaign.

Penn State's secondary received some good news Saturday morning when Joey Porter Jr. elected to return for the 2022 season. The redshirt sophomore's return gives the Nittany Lions' cornerback room a lift with Tariq Castro-Fields exhausting his eligibility. His return should set up a formidable group of corners for next season along with Kalen King, Johnny Dixon, and Daequan Hardyall returning as well.
