Jahan Dotson, one of the best receivers in the lengthy history of Penn State football, has announced he will not play in this weekend's Outback Bowl, and will enter April's NFL Draft.

Dotson was one of the final members of Penn State's 2018 recruiting class, overshadowed somewhat by then-five-star prospect Justin Shorter. Just four years later, Dotson has etched his name into the Nittany Lion record books at the position.

He ranks second all-time in receptions (183), second in single season receptions (91), fourth in career receiving yards (2,757), second in single season receiving yards (1,182), and second in career touchdowns (25). He also set the program record for yards in a single game with 242 in vs. Maryland in November.

With Dotson not playing in Saturday's game vs. Arkansas, sophomores Parker Washington and KeAndre Lambert-Smith will be counted out to assume larger roles. Redshirt freshman Malick Meiga showed flashes of what he can do in the latter stages of the season as well.
