Penn State defensive tackle Cole Brevard has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, making him the first of what will likely be several players to enter the transfer portal ahead of the May 1 deadline to be eligible for the fall.
A four-star prospect in Penn State's 2020 class, and the top player in Indiana, Brevard arrived on campus in January of 2020 - just in time for the college sports world to be shut down.
He spent the 2020 season redshirting on the practice squad. He appeared in one game during the 2021 season.
Brevard logged one tackle in Saturday's Blue-White Game, stopping Nick Singleton at the line of scrimmage.
Penn State's defensive tackle room is one of the deepest units in the country, with PJ Mustipher entrenched as a starter and guys like D'Von Ellies, Coziah Izzard, Jordan van den Berg, Hakeem Beamon, and Zane Durant all battling it out for playing time.
