When's the last time you heard news that made you feel really old? Let's update that. 14-year-old Drew Tsakounis and 16-year-old Jeffrey Bertrand just committed to Penn State hockey for the 2022 and 2020 seasons, respectively.

Very proud and honored to announce my commitment to play D1 hockey at Penn State University. Thanks to my friends, family and coaches who have helped me along the way. #NittanyLions pic.twitter.com/pwXhPAOgz0

Not much analysis to be had here. Tsakounis is almost a point-per-game player in youth hockey in New Jersey, and Bertrand (an Alaska native!) hasn't recorded any stats in six games for the NAHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. All major college hockey programs start recruiting super early though, and it's a good sign that Guy Gadowsky's staff is claiming territory in these far-off cycles.
