After much anticipation, Penn State finally revealed its new alternate sweaters Wednesday afternoon, and they're spectacular.
Much like the Nittany Lions' original thirds, the new digs are washed in that signature dark gray, featuring a very New York Rangers/Snoop Dog Pittsburgh-like diagonal lettering of "Penn State" in navy on the front.
Subtleties like these are what make Penn State's uniforms so unique and clean, and these new jerseys are a testament to that tradition. With the new sweaters, the Lions will also sport all-navy helmets featuring the chipmunk logo on the side and gray facemasks.
The Lions will debut their new thirds in Game 1 of their home series vs. Michigan State Friday, Jan. 11.
