And just like that, the season is upon us.

No. 9 Penn State is officially set for puck drop for its regular-season opener against Minnesota at 8:30 pm ET on Thursday, November 19. To prepare, Nick and Doug brought Jacob Cheris on the show for his Roar Lions Roar podcast debut to help break down everything we need to know about this matchup.

The guys talk about what the Lions will have to do in order to pick up where they left off a year ago when they dominated Minnesota to the tune of a 3-0-1 record. They break down which players to watch on the Gopher side of the ice, as well as what has to go right for Penn State. The rest of the conference is also discussed briefly as Michigan and Wisconsin got their seasons off to a roaring start already.
