Following a big weekend in which he scored three goals and added an assist in Penn State's much-needed sweep of Arizona State, senior forward Alex Limoges has been named the Big Ten Conference's Second Star of the Week. Minnesota goalie Jack LaFontaine was named first star and Gophers forward Ben Meyers received the third star.

Limoges opened the two-game series against the Sun Devils with a goal and an assist in the Lions' 3-2 overtime win on Friday night. He followed that up with a two-goal game on Sunday – including the game-tying goal – in Penn State's second overtime win of the weekend.
After a slow start to the season, Limoges has been scorching hot lately having scored four goals and two assists for six points in the Nittany Lions' last three games – all victories. For the season, Limoges leads the team in goals with five and in points with nine.
Penn State heads into the holiday break with a 3-5 record, but on a three-game winning streak. The next stage of the schedule has not been released, but indications are that an announcement could be forthcoming, possibly as early as this week.
