Penn State announced today that its series against the Maine Black Bears has been canceled due to positive COVID-19 cases within Maine's program. This series will not be rescheduled.

The Nittany Lions, 11-8-0, currently sit at seventh in the Big Ten standings with only eight points. Though the two-game, non-conference slate would not affect the standings, it would have been labeled as a confidence booster heading into the new year.

Penn State's next series will be played at home on January 7-8 when it takes on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
