Penn State Hockey: Kenny Johnson Suspended One Game for Clipping

The Big Ten hockey conference announced today that Penn State defenseman Kenny Johnson, has been suspended one game for clipping. Johnson, who has 44 penalty minutes, will miss the first game against No.13 Notre Dame. 

The incident occurred at the final buzzer against Army, where the Nittany Lions defeated the Black Knights 5-3. Johnson collided with Black Knights forward Colin Bilek. Bilek, who punched Johnson, was given a five-minute major for a hit to the head, and Johnson was given a 10-minute misconduct and a five-minute major for clipping. 

The Ann Arbor, Michigan native has two points in 19 games. He also has 25 blocked shots. 

The Nittany Lions take on Notre Dame for a Friday-Saturday series at home.
