Penn State Hockey added another piece to its forward core for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Former RPI forward Ture Linden is reportedly coming to Happy Valley for the upcoming season.
Three notable commitments added today to the transfer sheet:— Brad Elliott Schlossman (@SchlossmanGF) April 23, 2022
Miami D Derek Daschke to Minn Duluth
RPI F Ture Linden to Penn State
Denver F Jack Works to Michigan Techhttps://t.co/XLJ5fnkNQi
Linden led the Engineers last season with 39 points in 44 games. He also led the ECAC conference with 20 goals and was a member of the ECAC All-Conference Second-Team.
The Great Falls, Virginia native seems to have ties with former Penn State captain Alex Limoges, which may have prompted his decision to come to play for Guy Gadowsky.
Penn State's style has always been to throw as many pucks on net from anywhere on the ice. Linden should fit right in because he led RPI with 111 shots on goal.
Linden will give Gadowsky some depth scoring and will also add some much-needed center depth. The senior was 49.3% on draws last season.
It will be interesting to see where he fits into the lineup with Ben Copeland, Chase McLane, Connor MacEachern, and Carson Dyck at center.
