Anthony Cassar was named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday for his match-winning upset over Ohio State's No. 1 Kollin Moore on Saturday night. The upset gave Penn State the cushion they needed to clinch at least a share of the Big Ten Dual Meet Championship and secure victory in an epic match over the Buckeyes. Cassar is Penn State's second Wrestler of the Week winner, following Vincenzo Joseph who was honored on Jan. 16.

Cassar's start against Ohio State was a bit of a surprise given the recent performances of Shakur Rasheed, but the manner in which the upset occurred was not a surprise. Cassar dominated the action on the feet and did not surrender a takedown against arguably the best wrestler in neutral at 197. Cassar even managed to get a riding time point and two takedowns to earn a 6-3 decision. The final seconds of Cassar's win and the raucous crowd at Rec Hall can be seen here:
