Bo Nickal is a bad man. He moved up a weight class in 2019, and just went 30-0 en route to his third NCAA championship. Nickal's dominance was on display all year, with 18 pins and 27 bonus-point victories. He is by far the odds-on favorite to win the Hodge Trophy recognizing the nation's best collegiate wrestler. In fact, his only real Hodge competition is teammate and fellow three-time champion Jason Nolf.

Just like Nolf, there aren't a whole lot of things you can say that appropriately contextualize Nickal's career. He is a transcendent talent and will more than likely make his mark on the international stage with an unlimited bag of tricks and sublime instincts. Nickal joins Ed Ruth, Zain Retherford, and Nolf as three-time NCAA champions for the Nittany Lions, who just captured their eighth team title in nine years.
