Penn State's injury luck at heavyweight continues to sting them in March. Seth Nevills was wrestling No. 10 seed Alex Espositio (Rutgers) in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, but suffered a knee injury. He tried to continue but was forced to injury default from the match.

It is not clear what Nevills' status is for NCAAs, but he also injury defaulted out of his consolation match against Luke Luffman (Illinois). If Nevills is unable to compete at NCAAs, then Penn State will not have a heavyweight entry into the tournament.
