Tomorrow morning, our little blog will be eight months old. To say that we are blown away by how quickly the site has grown would be an understatement. For that, we owe each of you that support us by clicking on the site every day, and by purchasing our very nice shirts a huge thank you.
As we look to take the next steps in our evolution, we realized the obvious missing piece was a physical presence in Happy Valley. All of us lead professional lives or attend grad school, and several are prominent Penn State Dads. That all keeps us from being able to attend press conferences, open practice sessions, and many other things that happen on and around campus.
Thanks primarily to those of you that have opened up your wallets and purchased shirts from our store, we have been able to create not one, but two internship positions that will carry us through the next 12 months. Without further adieu, welcome Adriana Lacy and Matt Filipovits to the Roar Lions Roar staff.
Adriana in her own words
I'm a Penn State junior majoring in Public Relations from Philadelphia, Pa. I'm also a first generation Penn Stater, but I feel like I've been a fan since birth. My favorite Penn State memory is buying a tent and doing Nittanyville for the first football game my freshman year with two people I met just a week before, who are now my best friends. I love all Penn State sports, but Penn State soccer and shootyhoops hold a special place in my heart.

Matt in his own words
I'm a sophomore Media Studies major from Northampton, Pa. I'm a huge fan of all Philly sports and my favorite Penn State memory would be Matt McGloin's touchdown dive to take the lead against Northwestern in 2012. I'm a second generation Penn Stater so Penn State has always been in my blood. I am well known for tweeting GIFs of Matt McGloin as often as possible.
Follow Matt on Twitter @mattflip42 for those beautiful Matt McGloin GIFs.
So what does this mean?
Adriana and Matt will allow us to cover Penn State athletics in a way RLR has not been able to in our brief history because of simple geography. We will have video, sound, and photos from games, press conferences, and other events around town.
In short, your favorite Penn State blog is now even better. Thanks for helping us to make it happen.
