It wasn't a terrible start for us, considering picking Week One games is always tough. Nick and Matt both started out slightly over .500, but the community-at-large had a rough go. However, starting this week, you'll no longer have to rely on the rest of said community! We'll explain that more at the end of this post.

Week Two

Read below to see a quick synopsis of our picks for each game. If you want the full story behind each selection, check out the video at the top of this post.

Minnesota (-20) at Maryland, October 30 (7:30 pm)

Nick: This one is tough for me because while I think Minnesota's defense might be #bad, I'm not sure how much scoring Maryland is going to do this year. I'll take Minnesota to win and just barely cover. Minnesota 31 (-20), Maryland 10

Flip: I don't trust Maryland at all to be able to score – Tua's little brother isn't Tua (shocker). Give me Minnesota to bounce back and cover here. Minnesota 35 (-20), Maryland 10

Michigan State at No. 13 Michigan (-24.5), October 31 (12:00 pm)

Nick: Based on Week One, this should be a blowout but I highly doubt Michigan State turns the ball over six times again. For me, this is too many points in what has been a weird rivalry in the past. Michigan 31, Michigan State 17 (+24.5)

Flip: What are we even talking about here? Michigan looked fantastic and Michigan State lost to Rutgers. Give me the Wolverines HUGE. Michigan 52 (-24.5), Michigan State 6

Purdue (-7) at Illinois, October 31 (12:00 pm)

Nick: I don't think Illinois played as poorly as its Week One scoreline suggests, and Purdue was lucky to steal their first win. I think this is way too many points, and Illinois actually takes it outright. Illinois 27 (+7), Purdue 24

Flip: I think Illinois is being disrespected a bit and I don't think Purdue is nearly good enough to be getting a touchdown on the road. Give me the Illini. Illinois 28 (+7), Purdue 24

No. 17 Indiana (-10.5) at Rutgers, October 31 (3:30 pm)

Nick: Indiana is coming off of an extremely emotional, mentally-taxing upset of Penn State in a game that they didn't really deserve to win. I don't think Rutgers is in-line to force another six turnovers, but I think this is a competitive team. Indiana 24, Rutgers 14 (+10.5)

Flip: On Sunday, we're all going to be waking up to the 2-0, tied-for-first-in-the-conference...Rutgers Scarlet Knights! With Indiana in a massive letdown spot, give me Rutgers. Rutgers (+10.5) 28, Indiana 20

Northwestern at Iowa (-2.5), October 31 (3:30 pm)

Nick: This line confuses me which makes me nervous to take what I think is the obvious pick, but I'm going to roll with the Wildcats. I was unimpressed by Iowa and Northwestern really only needs a halfway decent offense to be formidable. Northwestern 26 (+2.5), Iowa 20

Flip: I don't understand this line either. Northwestern looked pretty solid in Week One and Iowa lost to Purdue. Spencer Petras doesn't look like anything special at quarterback. Northwestern (+2.5) 35, Iowa 17

No. 3 Ohio State (-12) at No. 18 Penn State, October 31 (7:30 pm)

Nick: Penn State could have and should have beaten Indiana in Week One, and I don't think this line would be in the double-digits if they had. I expect this to be a great game, and while I have Ohio State winning, I think the Nittany Lions easily cover this spread. Ohio State 38, Penn State 34 (+12)

Matt: Give me Penn State in a bounce-back effort. They probably deserved a better fate against Indiana than they got, despite the mistakes. Ohio State and Penn State have played this game way too close in the past for me to lay 12 points on the road for the Buckeyes. Ohio State 42, Penn State 35 (+12)

B1G P1CK

Nick: Penn State +12
Flip: Rutgers +10.5
